After twenty years of trying to pluck up the courage and plenty of nerves Ian finally got me through my test; first time!



It would be fair to say I was a very nervous learner. I saw problems constantly and didn’t trust myself to do something so potentially dangerous. It was a relief when Ian understood this. Despite my ability to panic he always remained calm, sometimes it must have been very difficult for him to do so!



Ian would gently get me to push myself and would never accept I couldn’t do it. If I didn’t understand something he would find another way to explain it. I valued this greatly.



Ian is friendly, patient, empathetic and overall a great teacher. I have recommended to him to lots of people and they’re all happy with my suggestion. I have no hesitation in recommending him as an instructor.
